This talk is intended to be a general introduction to adversaries in the middle (AITM), formerly known as man in the middle (MITM) and to raise awareness about how to keep the average user and businesses safe against them. This presentation will discuss the various ways adversaries can attempt to leverage this attack on a business or person, and the steps that can be taken to prevent becoming a victim of this attack, or even stopping it before it begins. Included in the presentation will be a brief history of the “cat and mouse” relationship between security professionals and adversaries, diving briefly into topics like HTTPS and SSL stripping.
