Nate is the former student manager of Southern Oregon University’s Cyber Security Research Lab and enjoys researching computer security for the implications that it holds for both the world at large and the individual user. His research is currently focusing on adversaries in the middle, the security of the BGP routing protocol, and how adversaries hide their malicious content online. For his senior capstone, he created a Capture the Flag (CTF) deployment platform that professors can use to aid in the teaching of cyber security. In addition, he has migrated many of his professor’s old labs to this platform. He hopes that other individuals will make use of this platform to create CTF levels and enhance the knowledge of others.
