Dr. Mehran Basiratmand is a member of the Enabling Technologies Corp CIO Strategic Advisory team. At this role, he engages and supports organizations that are embarking on change management, innovation or the adoption of new technologies.
Prior to joining Enabling, he was CTO at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) for well over 20 years. FAU is a public research university with 30,000+ students. His scope of responsibilities included data center, user services, cloud, ERP, HPC, networking, voice, Business Intelligence, LMS and end-node devices. In addition, he has an appointment in FAU/COB teaching Technology Innovation and Cyber Security Challenges courses for the Executive MBA as well as ISM programs. He was an active member of Miami Electronic Crime Taskforce until it merged with IACP (International Association of Chief of Police). During the past 12 years, Mehran was a Chairperson of NWRDC, the largest public data center in Florida delivering technology services to well over 120 state and local agencies as well as K-12 districts and universities. Mehran is a contributor to various technology publications, and he hosted a program on hacking for a local TV station in South Florida.
