Sean is Marine Safety Unit’s (MSU) Marine Transportation System Cyber Security Specialist who was recently hired and is responsible for the implementation and enforcement of all hazards and cybersecurity related executive orders, acts, regulations, laws, and Coast Guard policy supporting the safety and security of ports and waterways. Sean coordinates with applicable cybersecurity programs within the Coast Guard, interagency, and private industry to support cybersecurity awareness initiatives and respond to incidents. In his off time Sean enjoys the outdoors and is a recently retired 20 year Coast Guard Officer. Sean received his Master’s in Cybersecurity and Homeland Security from San Diego State University.
